Star sign: Pisces

Favourite song: Al Stewart – Year of the Cat

Favourite food: I used to be really fussy, I’d only eat beans and mash! Nowadays I like most things but will always have a soft spot for Steak and Kidney Pie and Treacle Sponge and Custard

Favourite drink: Champagne

Hobbies: With 2 young children and juggling various jobs time seldom allows for such things. I would love to get into astronomy, I’m fascinated by all that – guess I’ve watched too much Star Trek!

Favourite football team: Arsenal in their 1970s heyday…Frank Mclintock, Alan Ball, Liam Brady, Pat Jennings, Pat Rice etc al – what a team!

Song to sing at Karaoke: Silence is Golden

Biggest star ever met: Been lucky enough to meet quite a few pop stars, without name dropping…Cliff Richard, Lulu, Chris De Burgh, Natalie Cole, Justin Haywood, Daryl Hall & John Oates, Chris De Burgh, Leo Sayer…oh oops I’ve name dropped. Sorry.

Favourite Film/TV programme: I’ve watched Chitty Chitty Bang Bang hundreds of times (less so nowadays!) I still get a lump in the throat as Dick Van Dyke rolls the car out of the garage as his children look on eagerly. On TV, 24 is the BEST thing I’ve ever watched, well since Dallas anyway.

Most worn item of clothing and why: My shoes, I don’t see the point of owning loads – they all look similar!

Who would play you in the film of your life?  Tom Cruise - if he put on a few pounds! I think we’re the same height!

If you didn't work in radio what would you do? I would sell anoraks!

Who would you most like to have a drink with, and why? James Stewart (If he was still alive) – the most fantastic actor of all time.

If you could only take three possessions to a desert island, what would they be? Soldering iron, pair of wire cutters and a radio

If you could swap places with someone for the day, who would it be and why? Dr Who. I'd love to time travel!

What's your proudest achievement so far? Being a father, to a wonderful son Michael and Step-son Jonathan

What was the last CD you bought? 100 blank ones

What would you call your autobiography?  David Cunningham Unplugged.
